One of fourteen lithographs in the series Visages, drawn on stone by Matisse, printed by Mourlot Frères and published in an edition of 250 in 1946. Each image accompanied a poem by Pierre Reverdy, the title of which is shown in parentheses above. Printed in sanguine ink on heavy cream wove paper. No signed impressions were issued; on the completion of the edition the stones were destroyed.
